Welcome to the Carriage House

The Carriage House provides a range of meeting rooms and other facilities to the community of Pencaitland, the Lothians, and others requiring a quiet and well situated resource convenient for Edinburgh, the East Lothian beaches, and the Lammermuir hills.

When the Carriage House is fully booked for a retreat or conference, groups often use the Groom’s room for plenary and use the other rooms for small group discussion/activities. The Vestry can also be booked as another meeting room.

Single rooms can be booked by the hour, morning, afternoon, evening, or whole day.
The Carriage House, as a whole, can be booked for the morning, afternoon, evening, whole day, overnight stays, weekends, or week long stays.
Stays longer than 1 or 2 nights of a weekend are possible during July, August, October, and Easter.
Approximately 30 – 40 young people can be accommodated for overnight stays.
In addition, and on specific request, it is possible to book the Vestry, the Manse Garden as well as other facilities in Pencaitland.
